If I buy or sell a loan halfway through the month, how is the accrued interest split between the buyer and the seller?

Interest payments are not split between the buyer and seller. The investor who holds the loan at the time of the borrower’s payment receives the full interest amount for that period. Sellers forfeit all rights to future interest payments immediately upon sale, even if the sale occurs mid-month.
